NOTE: Salary commensurate with experience.
This position will support the University Photographer with photography for presentations, publications, websites, and other communications needs, including those in support of capital campaign initiatives and donor cultivations and recognition.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Shooting photography that would include events, headshots, and stock photography of campus locations, for use in presentations, publications, websites and other communication needs, including those in support of capital campaign initiatives and donor recognition
· Assisting the University Photographers on location and studio photography as needed to meet the needs of the university community
· Downloading and archiving files to deliver photos quickly to VP, media, News or web
· Assisting in maintaining digital library and resources in the photography department
· Scanning, editing and color correcting images
REQUIRED:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelors Degree preferred.
A minimum of one year work experience is required, preferably as a professional photographer or working with a professional photographer.
Candidate must demonstrate strong oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills. Must also possess strong organization skills. Candidates must have the ability to work autonomously, as well as work collaboratively with others and serve on team projects.

o 1st assistant: be experienced as photo assistant, (familiar with various formats of film cameras, digital 35mm, strobe and quartz lighting.)
o Willing to work hard and work long hours.
o Be physically strong enough to lift heavy equipment all day long.
o Be interested in and committed to excellence (especially in photography).
o Be a self-starter, motivated.
o Be willing to take on responsibility.
o Be organized.
o Willing to commit to a minimum of 3 years working with the company.
o Ability to work well with clients and staff.
o Ability to work long hours outside in the Arizona summers (as well as other climates).

o Pay: +/- $40,000/yr. (combined from salary, assisting day rates and commissions)
